Here’s an idea to gain you dozens of instant leads within your own client base.
Review your notes.
If you’re like me, you take a lot of notes when meeting with clients and prospects. When you get back to the office, you spend most of your time focusing on what your customer needs right now. What about those projects your customer tells you about that are going to happen “down the road”?
Supporting your customer’s long term goals is just as important as solving their short term ones. You can show your customer that you are in this for the long haul, and not just for the low hanging fruit. When you met with the customer, perhaps they shared needs with you that couldn’t be fulfilled at the time. Of course, what can be delivered by us evolves.
It’s easy to take notes and then forget they exist. When was the last time you went back through your notebooks and mined them for opportunities?
